8 hours performance 8 - hour Standing Platform Gallery, Vaasa, Finland 2004
At the start of the performance I will pull a pair of trousers out from a can of 9L white emulsion paint and put them on, pour the rest of the 9L paint in the middle of a wooden platform then I will stand “motionless” on the platform for the eight hours. In this work, the eight hours focuses on the 8-hour working day, referencing both the work ethic and more mundane everyday chores. It was first performed in Rovaniemi hight street on 30.6.2004.

8 hours performance White Out LAW (Live Art Weekend), Ferens Gallery, Hull, England 2003
On the floor is a chipboard platform (4m x 4m x 10cm). At the start of the performance I pour a 9 litres can of white emulsion paint in the centre of the platform. During the performance I will limit myself to the space of the platform. I use movement, the time and the emulsion paint during the performance. After the 8 hours there will be left a recording of the time, movement and paint on the platform.
Without Space 8 hour Performance Ars Artctica Rovaniemi Art Museum, Finland (Winner of the Finnish national Ars Arctica prize) 2003
In a space there are 2000 rubbed erasers on the floor, spread out in a circle. 4 personal stereos with speakers are located around the space, each stereo will play the sound of the erases being rubbed. I have been rubbing the rubbers for 30 minutes each day for one year.
