6 hour performance Marking Space Amos Andersson Art Museum in Helsinki Finland .2005.
On top of the artists mounting paper 320cm by 330cm is 2000 leads of pencils. have spread 2000 pencils over the mounting paper.. Using my whole body within the time and space the lead comes more and more in contact with the paper and my body. At the end of the performance a recording of the movement will remain on paper. The basic idea for this work was provoked by my experiences while making my drawings, which often take around 6 months to complete.

4.30 hours performance Pushing Space at Mope 05 festival, Vaasa Art Hall, Vaasa, Finland
On the floor six sheets of chipboard, ( 480cm by 380cm ) 2000 leads of pencils ( spread over the floor ) and a three leg table. Over the period of time I will be bent over, and push the table over the leads on the chipboards.
8 hours performance 8 - hour Standing Platform Gallery, Vaasa, Finland 2004
At the start of the performance I will pull a pair of trousers out from a can of 9L white emulsion paint and put them on, pour the rest of the 9L paint in the middle of a wooden platform then I will stand “motionless” on the platform for the eight hours. In this work, the eight hours focuses on the 8-hour working day, referencing both the work ethic and more mundane everyday chores. It was first performed in Rovaniemi hight street on 30.6.2004.

8 hours performance White Out LAW (Live Art Weekend), Ferens Gallery, Hull, England 2003
On the floor is a chipboard platform (4m x 4m x 10cm). At the start of the performance I pour a 9 litres can of white emulsion paint in the centre of the platform. During the performance I will limit myself to the space of the platform. I use movement, the time and the emulsion paint during the performance. After the 8 hours there will be left a recording of the time, movement and paint on the platform.

In a space there are 2000 rubbed erasers on the floor, spread out in a circle. 4 personal stereos with speakers are located around the space, each stereo will play the sound of the erases being rubbed. I have been rubbing the rubbers for 30 minutes each day for one year.

On a wall is a 150cm x 150cm drawing made up of pencil lines. On the floor is a mound of pencil shavings from 2000 pencils. Around the space are 4 personal stereos with speakers. The sound coming from them is a recording of the pencils being sharpened.
